Lynn Abelson

Lynn was awarded a DIR certificate this May 2009 in speech-languange pathology and OT.
Lynn also received a Masters of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Montclair State University and has been providing speech and language services in New Jersey since 2001.
She is dually licensed as a speech language pathologist and an occupational therapist and has over 25 years experience in a variety of clinical setting including acute care, rehabilitation, special education, and early intervention.
Lynn is currently employed as a speech language specialist at the Phoenix Center, a private school for children ages 5-21 with severe developmental disabilities. She is the Bridge Coordinator at this school and leads a transdisciplinary team that provides DIR (Developmental, Individual-Differences, Relationship-Based) intervention with an emphasis on family training.
Lynn is an advanced DIR candidate and has completed the PROMPT Bridging course. She received the ASHA Award Continuing Education in 2005.
