A message from Joanne.

I believe in miracles, and am privileged to see them every day. My favorite moments are when parents report about a new word, action or behavior that they see in their child after the speech and language therapy session. The excitement in their voice, the hope that is generated by a look or a smile - these are the miracles.

Miracles in Communication was named by the wonderful, courageous hard working parents that I have encountered and helped during the past 35 years. For every call received there was a sense of destiny and I responded by doing everything I could to help the family develop their relationships through interactive communication. As a PROMPT instructor and through my professional contacts, I had the privilege to meet several speech and language pathologists who shared my beliefs. These are the members of the team that you will meet when you enter our practice. We believe everyone who enters our practice is a gift that has been sent to us and we treat children and adults with respect, admiration and gratitude.

This website is designed to be helpful to our clients. It provides information about PROMPT, our therapists, and our beliefs and experiences. In the future, you will see articles from our therapists, ideas for language expansion, and suggestions for activities and toys that you can use at home. Directions and forms that we use in our practice are available for downloads.

Have fun exploring our website. Please let us know what you think.
